At Go Motors, LLC you won't get the corporate vibe or corporate service bulls_it. Our mechanics started this shop understanding that the public in need of car repairs deserved so much better. Customers who face difficult or even customary car repairs and routine maintenance encounter several tough choices:

1. Take your car to the new car dealership’s service department or repair franchise and pay the highest prices with no rhyme or reason for such costs with novice mechanics --- many of these novices are often reruited because they are not necessarily the best but often because they are low bidders;

2. Find a mechanic in a smaller independent facility --- one who is who not overburdened and underpaid willing to do the work who knows how to do the work for a fair price in a practical timeframe— and even then…..these prices seem to creep up as the work progresses. Many of our customers tell us that this option seemed best for them until the mechanics charged them for working on cars they just didn't know much about and did little to repair their cars. We hear this a lot.

3. Hire a backyard mechanic and really play Russian roulette — this is the worst possible choice. Mechanics who do this are breaking the law, plain and simple. Almost always, they are unlicensed and uninsured and they can ruin your car. If they cut corners on what they need to set up shop….how do you have any assurances they won’t cut corners on you or your repair? You don’t. Plain and simple.

Here at Go Motors, LLC we are a little unorthodox, yes. It's experiences like this one (click here…for the story) that helped form who we are (as well as who we are not) today to change the automotive repair industry forever. Our shop is owned and operated by all of our mechanics and its a working democracy ----- not an autocracy. Our mechanics are entrepreneurs as well as professional car gurus and expert mechanics. They understand what customers want. There are no corporate rules, restrictions, or nepotism at work to the detriment of our customers or mechanics here nor are they allowed. Here, you won't find any service department advisor marking up our work orders to the detriment of the unsuspecting customer to make his/her monthly quota. Not a chance! Here at Go Motors, LLC our master mechanics (not kids who just graduated from vocational school last week) dictate what is in their customers' best interests NOT A CORPORATE SERVICE WRITER OR SERVICE DEPARTMENT MANAGERS desperately trying to hang on to their jobs force-feeding monthly quotas at the expense of the customer. Our building is huge and impressive but not because we rob our customers: it's huge and impressive because being honest, hard working, loyal and fair DOES pay off. Customers appreciate that. Our master mechanic, Doug, has a favorite slogan: "treat the people like you want to be treated and they will be loyal". And, this is tried and true at our shop. First order of business: our mechanics are not greedy or greenhorns. You have to know what you are doing to be in our shop. They are EXPERTS who all have a vested interest in making things work along these lines with over 60 years combined experience in some of the most bloody knuckle, back breaking, complicated, seemingly difficult work on all types of vehicles in all types of conditions -- Porsches, BMW s, Rolls, Audis, Toyotas, Subarus, replacing transmissions, engines, clutches, valve work, etc. etc. A vetted, expert, competent, extremely experienced and capable mechanic proves over and over again to be an asset to our customers. He can listen properly, diagnose accurately/correctly and with absolute precision locate problems for repair other greenhorns or ill-equipped mechanics (usually the lowest bidders in the corporate model) can't and this translates to a savings in the first 5 minutes. It's that simple.

Overcharging a customer who is just doing the best they can to 'stay on the road' is unethical and its rampant. Changing this is our first order of business. However, in this growing corporate climate of greed and unethical service --- JUST FINDING A PROFESSIONAL is hard enough. Finding one who doesn't overcharge needlessly is yet another insurmountable cross to bear even if you can. Our goal in life is to change that. That's the first order of business and what distinguishes us from the rest. And, while we haven't given in to corporate corruption......we are also not working in someone's backyard either. Backyard mechanics are renegades and we respect that -- anything to combat the unethical fiscal practices of the corporate racket in corporate service departments, in our opinion, is a GOOD thing for both the customers and mechanics who are victims of it. However, sometimes using a low bidder who works in cheap conditions can be equally as harmful and it can backfire and cost you more: mechanics working in shoddy conditions are also unethical and ill-prepared and that can cost even more $$$ if your ultimate goal is not accomplished: to fix your car and do it right for a reasonable cost. It is out of respect, concern, and in service to clients that any mechanics worth their salt license, have a professional shop and have the proper tools and else wise to work on cars. You should bring your car to a licensed and insured repair shop and you should have a seasoned professional work on your car --- not the lowest bidder working out of a residential garage or backyard. A mechanic who works in a backyard can be "a good deal" until something goes wrong and, usually, SOMETHING GOES WRONG and then the repair work becomes EVEN MORE expensive to fix the fix. Come see us, meet us, and talk about your car and your concerns. We have free "auto therapy" sessions on the couch in our waiting room. Your mechanic will sit and take notes just like your psychiatrist does while you are on the couch with your hand over your forehead spilling out to him all your car 'dilemmas'. Then we will put together an expert, reasonable, practical, fair, and honest automotive therapy plan. Yep, it's that easy. The list is extensive of Subarus qualities: Subarus are AWD, Foresters have one of the largest cargo areas of any family-friendly vehicle, they have great consumer reviews, and with love, care and maintenance they can be extremely satisfying $$$-wise and overall very reliable. However, Subarus require a new timing belt and water-pump every 100,000 miles and they can be prone to bad head gasket issues. Often when customers bring their Subaru to 'a shop', and especially the new car dealer, they are charged with many items that are unnecessary to repair. this, in addition to very unreasonable hourly rates (not done by experienced mechanics in most cases!) can really add to an already unreasonably huge bill. A base install on a timing belt can be affordable if all the other charges are eliminated ---- e.g., tensioners, water-pump, pulleys (service dept. manager's quotas!) are replaced and do not need to be, among other things, to soon. However, we recommend you bring your car in for 'any' repair so we can accurately assess and price your repair prior to quoting you. Transmission replacements: Average charge to rebuild a transmission can be in the thousands and is often VERY EXPENSIVE for parts and labor. We charge a fraction of the cost that rebuild shops charge and we will replace your transmission with a used yet quality and warrantied transmission and we'll get you back on the road in days not weeks. This can be very reasonable and solve a huge problem.

Axles starting at $150 installed.

New front pads and rotors starting - on most cars - at $200. Ask for details.

Head Gaskets: on any car --- save $100s -- come in for free consultation / estimate. Ask for details. Head gaskets that are overheating must be checked before they get reinstalled and may need to be re-machined. But, it is repairable and for a reasonable cost.

Lift kits, struts, shocks -- shocking to most customers how cheap it is to replace shocks at our shop. Don't bounce around. Get that car in for new shocks. Just come down for shocks.

Exhaust repairs, welds, installs...very reasonable.

Window motors / regulators: come down for a tune up and/or replacement

A/C problems: come down. Ask for details.

Wheel bearings starting at as low as $200.
